Legit E34 M5 Touring, imported from Germany
This past weekend, I traveled with a few friends to Pittsburgh to attend the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. This was the first time I had been to the Grand Prix, and to Pittsburgh, and I had a
grand
time. There was a lot to see, including the qualifying rounds for several classes vintage race cars. The only thing better than seeing so many awesome cars, was seeing some of them moving (most under their own power).
I seriously recommend driving down in a convoy of awesome cars (a TR6, a Sprite, a 2nd Gen Camaro, and an E39 M5 may have been involved). It makes a fun day even better!
Below are some of my highlights from the day. The rest can be found !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .
Yes, that’s a Z1.
Lovely E30 M3, with nice (in my opinion) BBS wheels
Citroen DS
One of the rarest Audi’s at the show, an Allroad with working air suspension.
An Espada
and a Jalpa
A very yellow X1-9
I had never seen a Qvale Mangusta before.
A Lancia (Flavia?)
No caption needed
Still no caption needed
Said Camaro
A Turbo Lebaron
and a McLaren (no, not that McLaren
This thing.
A Rover TC 2000
and a TVR
One of two SVXs at the show. This one has the optional chrome wheels, but was still the nicer of the two. I still want one. Badly.
MG ZT with a V8, and 5-speed
SA22C RX-7, one of 500 Leather Sports produced in Solar Gold
A Dodge Colt
A UR-Quattro
Blue
Type 34 Karmann Ghia
Type 3 Squareback
E31 850I, with 6-speed
I love this color combo: white with a green vinyl top

I was down for the show too. My car is actually in the background of your shot of the R8. It was a great show this year, as it is every year. That MG really surprised me. I never expected to see one of those.

Were you the blue RS5? If so, I got most of it. It looked great, but I was mesmerized by the R8 and its matching gloves.
I’m really curious how that MG was here, because it’s no more than 15 years old, has a PA plate, and as far as I can tell, that car isn’t on the “Show or Display” list.

I wish I had the RS5. It was the black A6 in the first photo.
And the MG might have been rare enough to be on the show or display list. According to a sign posted on the car, there are only 75.

Well, your A6 looked nice there as well.
It is possible that I wasn’t looking at an updated list. I guess I missed the sign, because I didn’t realize that there are only 75 of those.

Very nice, my pictures are still on my phone, stewing in their potato quality.

I look forward to seeing them regardless.
Also, there seems to be a man in a tie-dyed shirt in several of my pictures, curiously pondering the subject vehicles. I wonder what he is thinking about...
